Over the last few months I have applied to different roles in project offices of research centres, SME's and consultant agencies. I am eager to get hands-on in the management of innovative projects, and that explains why in most of the interviews I was asked the same question.
The first time I was asked, I was caught off guard and wondered How am I supposed to have experience with HE programme? I mean, during my thesis I got experience with the Interreg-POCTEFA programme, I have given feedback to colleagues preparing Marie Curie proposals, and collaborated with ERC grantees... Do any of these experiences count?
My current answer is: yes, they count, but they're not enough.
